The menu caters to traditional diner appetites but with some notable highlights like their Kitchen Sink Omelet, Barracuda Tuna Melt served with sweet potato fries, and hearty raspberry steak tips paired with eggs. Portions here run on the generous side, which is ideal for those craving a substantial meal whether you're stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or a late-day bite. The lineup of classic breakfast favorites—eggs any style, homefries, and toast with options to add bacon, ham, or sausage—anchors the diner’s appeal to locals who want reliable morning meals without fuss.

The atmosphere carries a steady hum of casual conversation and the clatter of plates, making it neither too quiet nor overwhelmingly busy. This balance makes it a comfortable stop whether you’re looking for a relaxed lunch, a solid breakfast fix, or a late afternoon rest after a drive around the region. Given its location just off the main roads around Amherst, it also appeals to travelers opting for a scenic detour who want a meal in a space rich with local character.

While prices lean a bit higher than what you might expect for a diner, they’re consistent with local standards and reflect the quality and portion sizes on offer. Those coming in for the experience or the food tend to find it worth the slightly elevated cost.

Mary Ann's Diner offers a down-to-earth, nostalgic dining experience where the decor and dishes work together to evoke community warmth. It’s a solid pick for anyone who wants to catch a genuine slice of New England diner culture within a welcoming, no-frills setting.

Set up like a 60s diner with all the chrome, car parts, and memorabilia you could wish for. Menu is extensive with all the standards plus more. Our waitress was great and had a wonderful sense of humor. Portions are very generous and while prices are high, they are in line with the area.

Truly nostalgic!!! Food was great our waitress was informative fun and a patriots fan LOVED it. Being from SW CT people here forget that we are in new england and we have a team. So many people like the giants. Well, all I could say is hats off to you. Marianne's diner. New Hampshire rocks. NH maple syrup is the best and the mary ann logo is COOL

Perfect reason to take the back way home! My friend and I drove from the Cobleskill NY to Derry NH to pick up a new engine for my car. We took the interstate on the way up to make up time, but took the scenic route home. After driving through a couple towns and scoping out possible places to eat. This caught my eye. I said looks a 50's style chrome diner how can we go wrong. I walk in and first thing I see is a 56 Chevy couch. I looked around and just discovered more and more great things. We couldn't have found a better themed places to eat the coincide with our adventures for the day. The staff was quick and super friendly and even asked about the engine I purchased. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I hope to make it back there again one day!

We went for brunch today. Place was full but we were seated in underxa minute. Place was happing! All decor is 1950's red and chrome. Extensive menu for breakfast lunch. I enjoyed the Elvis Breakfast of scrambled eggs, homefries, corned beef hash and two slices of thick toast. My friends had the knuckle sandwich -- sausage patty on a bagel with cheese and homefries. Service was polite and very fast. Customer capacity is about 70.
